Jeff Pulver’s “question of the day” for today is “How often do you go unwired?”
In my case, almost never — but the “almost” part of that answer allows me to say that I’ve been unwired for much of the last week. I gave readings Saturday and Sunday evenings with my old friend and fellow poet, Ron Silliman, in Baltimore and Washington DC. Somehow the weekend slipped away without a single digital act!
I’d spent 3 days earlier in the week writing an essay for a book I’m co-authoring, and although I was online while doing it, I mostly used the net in the old-fashioned way — as a big research library.
And, oh… that’s why I haven’t written much here in the last week. I’ll try to make up for it this week.
